Orange brings the WatchPhone exclusively to the UK

I hate to give Orange (owned by the french) some good press due to my own experiences with the network, It all went down hill for me when french telecom took over from Hutchison Whampoa all those years ago.

But according to their press release they have landed the exclusive deal to sell the new LG touch screen WatchPhone LG - GD910.

It boasts 3G HSDPA, voice control, MP3 player, Bluetooth, touch screen and camera too.

Take a look at the youtube clip and link to the Orange page.

It only seems to be avalible from the Orange shop at Bond Street Station on Thursday 27th Aug for a princely sum of £500.00

Stephen Fry has been testing one of the units and will be doing a review.

Expansys also have the wrist phone listed here, So hopfully it will just be an exclusive launch with Orange, enabling me to get the GD910 on one of the better networks !

Nelson Piquet Quits Renault F1

Statement - Nelson Piquet

I have received notice from the Renault F1 team of its intention to stop me from driving for them in the current F1 season. I want to say thanks to the small group who supported me and that I worked together at Renault F1, although it is obviously with great disappointment that I receive such news. But, at the same time, I feel a sense of relief for the end of the worst period of my career, and the possibility that I can now move on and put my career back on the right track and try to recover my reputation of a fast, winning driver. I am a team player and there are dozens of people I have worked with in my career who would vouch for my character and talent, except unfortunately the person that has had the most influence on my career in Formula 1.
